Lilac Arch Press
Lilac Arch Press is a small press located on Treaty 4 in Saskatchewan. We create books for wellbeing and joy, any age, any stage.
Lilac Arch Press was founded in 2022. When a family member was diagnosed with dementia a search began for suitable reading material to help keep their brain active. However, there was nothing quite right.
Our founder is a former librarian. She recalled an emerging trend in the junior fiction and young adult markets called hi-lo books. Hi-lo stands for high interest/low reading level. She thought a similar idea, but with stories crafted for seniors might be just the right thing for her family member.
Soon the small press expanded to include a children’s line and a journal. In 2023 Lilac Arch Press released its first anthology.
