Caught in an early snowstorm on the Atlantic, Elizabeth and her dog are forced to find shelter on a small island. Such a very interesting read. Although I’ve not read a lot about mythical creatures this story was definitely a page turner to learn what was next in Elizabeth and Sable’s adventure. It is written such that you feel it is factual. The friendships formed and the love of animals and creatures is heartwarming. The illustrations are beautiful—I especially like the one of the white owl on the tree limb and Sable trudging through the deep snow towards the evergreen trees. A simply delightful story.
